The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a potential two-year, $142.8 million foreign military sales contract to manufacture multiple rocket launchers equipped with crew protection cabs for the United Arab Emirates.
The firm-fixed-price contract covers 12 armored High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, spares, software and training and upgrade services, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
Lockheed will perform work through Dec. 30, 2017 in Camden, Arkansas, and Dallas.
DoD noted the obligated amount of $28.6 million at the time of award is from the Army’s other funds for fiscal 2016.
