Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a potential $1.14B contract from the U.S. Navy to provide sustainment services for the F-35 Lightning II program.
Work under the cost share contract includes supply chain management, ground maintenance, depot activation, action request resolution and health management implementation, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The company will also support initial training of F-35 pilots and maintainers and maintain the Automatic Logistics Information System built to help aircraft operators manage the vehicle’s life cycle.
The contract combines purchases for the Navy, Air Force, non-U.S. DoD participants and foreign military sales customers.
Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and will obligate $1.13B at the time of award.
The Pentagon expects Lockheed to finish contract work by December 2022.
