The Library of Congress has issued a solicitation for a potential $450 million procurement vehicle for contractor services to support the federal cultural institution’s information technology systems and software applications.
The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract calls for vendor assistance in the areas of agile software development; systems integration, DevOps and continuous delivery; and user experience and interface design services, according to a notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
Work will range from developing local PC-based applications to deploying and managing large-scale integrated systems.
Services will also cover ancillary performance areas, such as commercial off-the-shelf products, platform-as-service and software-as-service, business analysis, quality control and assurance and product management.
The library serving Congress uses system development and project management life cycle processes to maintain a collection of more than 162 million items in more than 450 languages.
