Leonardo DRS has received an $82.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to supply forward-looking infrared thermal receiver units to five countries under a foreign military sales deal.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the company will provide Horizontal Technology Integration second generationreceivers and A- and B-Kit components to Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
Work under the modification will occur through March 10, 2018.
The Army will determine performance locations and provide funds with each order.
Arlington, Virginia-based Leonardo DRS produces HTI sighting systems designed to help soldiers detect, identify and engage adversarial targets from ground vehicles.
