Lentech has named Kevin Bennett, a former SAIC business development executive and retired Air Force officer, to its board of directors. The Elkridge, Maryland-based technology contractor said Monday that Bennett will advise its leadership team on strategic growth, federal market positioning and enterprise operations as Lentech enters its next phase of expansion.
“Kevin brings a rare combination of senior military leadership and large-scale federal business development experience,” said Lentech CEO Rose Allen. “His perspective on the Air Force and defense client mission, paired with his track record of driving growth at scale, will be an incredible asset to our board as we continue to grow.”
Who Is Kevin Bennett?
During a nine-year tenure at SAIC, Bennett served as vice president of business development, overseeing growth for an operating unit that generated $1.4 billion annually. He oversaw a pipeline of more than $100 billion covering Air Force, combatant commands and Department of War agency customers. His team of more than 50 business developers, capture managers and solution architects won $4.8 billion in contracts. Over three years, the unit grew revenue at a 20 percent annual rate, the fastest organic growth in the company.
What Military Experience Does Bennett Bring to Lentech?
Before he moved to industry, Bennett served 28 years in the Air Force and rose to senior IT and cyberspace leadership posts. He was deputy chief information officer at both U.S. Transportation Command and U.S. Cyber Command, and he commanded the 49th Wing’s Mission Support Group at Holloman Air Force Base. On the Joint Staff, he advised the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on information sharing and cybersecurity policy.

The board appointment follows Lentech’s hiring of Ryan Rohr as chief growth officer to lead the company’s growth strategy, client relationships and strategic partnerships. In October 2024, the company named former Empower AI CEO Paul Dillahay, a Wash100 Award recipient, as the first member of its advisory board.
