Leidos to Continue CDC Public Health Mission Support Under $100M Contract; Doreen Cohen Quoted

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has secured a position on a potential five-year, $100M contract for technical support to public health initiatives of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The follow-on award has a five-year base period and covers a range of professional services for CDC’s Center for Preparedness and Response, Leidos said Thursday.

The company said Thursday it plans to assist the CDC Center for Preparedness and Response in various areas such as medical and scientific consulting, public health management and communication.

"Leidos is privileged to continue its important work with the CDC as they carry out their mission to ensure our nation's health security against public health threats," said Doreen Cohen, senior vice president of government health and safety solutions at Leidos' health group.

The company added it seeks to help the agency manage emergency response activities through the follow-on contract.
