Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has secured a potential five-year, $60M task order to provide life cycle support for a web-based surveillance platform the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention uses to track healthcare-related infection cases nationwide.
The company said Monday it will help CDC manage, architect, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain products for the agency’s National Healthcare Safety Network.
Work will also include user support, documentation and message processing support services.
The company added it will develop HAI protocols; train system users on HAI definitions and NHSN operations, and recommend approaches to manage data quality.
“Reducing HAI morbidity and mortality is both an economic and a moral imperative,” said Doreen Cohen, senior vice president of Leidos’ government health and safety solutions unit.
“This important work further cements Leidos’ position supporting our customers’ missions at the intersection of health, science and technology,” Cohen added.
The single-award task order has one base year and four option years.
