Leidos Defense Group Head Michael Leiter Leaves Company

Leidos‘ (NYSE: LDOS) defense group president Michael Leiter left the company on Friday approximately one year after the merger with the former Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) information systems and global solutions segment was first announced.

Leidos disclosed Leiter’s departure in a regulatory filing after markets closed Friday.

“We thank Michael for his contributions to our employees and customers during his tenure at Leidos, ” a Leidos spokesperson told GovCon Wire Monday.

Leiter led the integration management office in support of the merger and first joined the company in November 2014 executive vice president for business development and strategy.

Leiter chairs the advisory council of the Business Executives for National Security and has served as a member for the Defense Department‘s Defense Threat Advisory Committee, The Aspen Institute’s Homeland Security Advisory Group and the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Homeland Security Project.
