The U.S. Air Force has awarded Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) a potential six-year, $37 million contract to provide logistics and repair services for the military branch’ssubscale aerial target system.
Kratos said Monday it will also supply consumable and peculiar reparable spares for BQM-167A flight operations at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida and at a military test and training range in Utah.
BQM-167A target systems, manufactured by Kratos’ Composite Engineering subsidiary, are designed to simulate aircraft and missile threats during military weapons testing and training.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has obligated $4.2 million in fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Kratos is scheduled to complete work under the contract Feb. 28, 2022.
