Kinder Morgan's American Petroleum Tankers subsidiary has won a potential $190.4M contract from the U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command to provide a U.S.-flagged vessel for military fueling missions at sea.
APT will perform marine transportation services using the MSC chartered M/T Empire State tanker, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The command received two offers for the firm-fixed-price contract via a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps and obligated $26.4M iat the time of award.
DoD expects contract services to complete by July 2025. The contract contains one base year, three one-year options and an additional 11-month extension period.
