The Administration for Children and Families, a division of the Department of Health and Human Services, has awarded international nongovernmental organization Kids in Need of Defense a pair of task orders under the Post Release Legal Services multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. One task order has a total value of $211 million while the other has a total value of $212.9 million, according to an award notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
The PLRS MA-IDIQ calls for the provision of analytical, immigration and professional services to bolster the government’s capacity to offer legal services to unaccompanied children who have been released from the care and custody of the HHS ACF’s Office of Refugee Resettlement. Legal services will also be provided to other populations eligible for such support, if requested by the government.
The contract has a maximum value of $821.3 million and an ordering period that began on Sept. 30 and will end by Sept. 29, 2029.
