The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport a potential 60-month, $1.38 billion to oversee logistics and distributions operations of the U.S. military in the Gulf region.
KGL said Thursday it will help DLA procure, import, store and distribute various food products from U.S. and Gulf suppliers for more than 20,000 troops who operate in Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait.
The contract has a minimum value of $690 million and the fifth logistics contract that DLA awarded to the Kuwait-based company.
KGL has provided comprehensive logistics services to government customers worldwide over the past 60 years.
The company also established a Veteran’s Educational Endowment at the University of the Pacific for qualified U.S. military veterans and sponsors fundraising efforts for the Association of the U.S. Army in Kuwait.
