Roe, who has led the Houston, Texas-headquartered company since March 2012, is retiring after a decade of service and will work with his successor to ensure a smooth transition, OneWeb said Thursday.
Steen most recently served as CEO of satellite network equipment manufacturer ST Engineering iDirect where he oversaw the development and execution of sales, operations and business growth strategies.
He previously worked as vice president of mergers and acquisitions at SAP Americas and as senior director of worldwide business operations at Aspen Technology.
“Kevin stood out as a strong, dynamic leader with the relevant experience we believe will be necessary to execute on our bold plans for the company,” said Sue Gordon, chairwoman of OneWeb’s board of directors.
