KBR (NYSE: KBR) has won a potential $126.7 million contract to provide mission-critical information technology support services to the federally owned Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
An award notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov says the MITS contract encompasses technology assessment and modernization; system analysis, development, deployment, field support and analytical research analysis; system architectures and framework; and laboratory facility and operations support.
Houston-based KBR inherited the work through the acquisition and noted on its website that the company uses web frameworks, a cloud and serverless architecture, data analytics, machine learning and Agile/DevOps approaches to support the DOT-operated center.
