KBR has received a five-year, $82 million recompete task order from the U.S. Air Force to continue providing sustainment services for the Oklahoma-based office responsible for maintaining the B-52 Stratofortress bomber fleet.
The company said Thursday the cost-plus-fixed-fee award from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will support the B-52 System Program Office by addressing operational issues, ensuring system and structural sustainability, testing components and subsystems, managing obsolescence and diminishing sources and enhancing cybersecurity.
KBR will also perform reliability analysis as well as develop non-destructive inspection and test techniques, maintenance procedures and reliability data analysis tools.
