John Zangardi
John Zangardi, formerly chief information officer at the Department of Homeland Security, has joined Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) civil group as senior vice president of business initiatives and strategic partnerships.
He brings to the role decades of federal information technology modernization experience to help the companys civil group build up strategic relationships and technical core capabilities, Leidos said Monday.
Jim Moos, acting president of Leidos Civil Group, said Zangardis experience transforming IT at DHS and the Department of Defense will help the company align its business strategies as it works to adapt to changing digital, IT modernization and cybersecurity environments.
Zangardi previously served as acting CIO and principal deputy CIO at DoD and interim CIO at the Department of the Navy. He is a retired naval flight officer and former deputy director warfare integration programs within the deputy chief of naval operations communications networks directorate.
