Jim Kelly, a vice president at Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL), has been promoted to senior VP for North America federal sales at the company.
“Jim’s experience and drive make him an excellent leader to continue our strong momentum in this segment,” John Byrne, president of North America Sales at Dell, said in a statement.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the impact Jim will make as we continue to support our federal customers in carrying out their mission-critical work across the country and around the world,” Byrne added.
Kelly most recently served as VP of Dell’s federal sales organization supporting the Department of Defense and intelligence community customers.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to lead Federal Sales, and to continue supporting the important work our federal customers do every day. Our customers look to us for the technology and expertise they need to transform and protect their data, and we are committed to their success,” Kelly said.
Kelly first joined Dell in 1999 as an account manager and assumed the role of director of sales for the Army in 2005. He left the company in 2013, held sales leadership positions at Symantec and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and then returned to Dell in 2015.
