Jim Gwiazda, former vice president of the federal civilian and state, local and education business at MetTel, has joined data center services provider Equinix (Nasdaq: EQIX) as VP of the public sector vertical.
In his new capacity, Gwiazda will lead the implementation of a go-to-market strategy for Equinix’s federal and SLED customers, according to his LinkedIn.
Prior to his VP post at MetTel, he spent 21 years at AT&T (NYSE: T), where he held various roles of increasing responsibility focused on the government and education markets.
Gwiazda served for 12 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was part of international missions, including Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait and relief efforts in response to Hurricane Mitch in Guatemala.
