Edwards returned to the Reston, Virginia-based technology services contractor five years after serving as VP of business development and capture manager.
Julian Setian, CEO of SOSi and a two-time Wash100 Award winner, said Edwards brings to the company his intelligence, international and military experience and his leadership will play a key role as SOSi delivers scalable platforms to customers worldwide.
Edwards previously served as a senior civilian official in the intelligence community and held senior business development positions at Perspecta, which now operates as Peraton, and DynCorp International, now known as Amentum.
He spent 25 years in the Army as an intelligence officer. His military career included time as chief operations officer (G3) of the service’s Airborne Corps and senior intelligence officer (G2) of Army Forces Command.
