A subsidiary ofJacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has been awarded a five-year, $75 million contract to provide engineering and design support for industrial research efforts at administrative facilities within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s Washington area of responsibility.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday that Jacobs’ government services business may also perform work in other U.S. locations and is scheduled to finish in December 2021.
Five proposals were submitted to the U.S. Navy for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity, architect-engineering contract.
The Navy obligated $25, 000 at the time of award from the military branchs fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.
NAVFAC Washington builds and maintains facilities as well as provides public works, utilities, transportation, environmental, real property, energy and facilities engineering and acquisition services to the Naval District Washington and various installations of the Navy, Marine Corps and joint forces.
