NASA has awarded Jacobs (NYSE: J) a potential five-year contract to extend the company’s environmental engineering work at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Hunstville, Ala., and other agency facilities.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers architect-engineer services such as environmental compliance support, environmental remediation and risk analysis, the company said Tuesday.
Jacobs could also perform assessments of regulatory matters relevant to NASA operations at the federal and state levels as part of the IDIQ award.
The company also provides engineering and technical support to MSFC programs via the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation contract.
Jan Walstrom, a senior vice president and global environmental market director at Jacobs, said the company seeks to provide environmental services that support MSFC operations without affecting key activities at the center.
The Dallas-based professional services contractor has supported the center’s environmental operations since 1987.
