Peter Porter, formerly a certified client executive at IBM‘s (NYSE: IBM) public sector business, joined Oracle (ORCL) as director of federal system sales, G2Xchange ETC reported Monday.
He has more than 30 years of technology sales experience and is responsible for leading a team of professionals that offers Oracle systems to federal civilian agencies.
Porter held a 29-year career at IBM, where he previously managed the firms business development efforts focused on the U.S. Postal Service and sales of the IBM Smarter Cities portfolio.
Earlier in his corporate career, he worked in sales positions at Tektronix and Hewlett-Packard.
