IBM (NYSE: IBM) has expanded its federal market organization with the appointment of Terry Halvorsen and Mark Johnson as vice president of federal client development and VP of federal technology sales, respectively.
Both executives will work to support IBM’s vision to facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence and hybrid cloud across the federal government, IBM said Friday.
Halvorsen, a previous Wash100 Award recipient, most recently served as general manager of client and solutions development for the federal and public sector at IBM and before that, he worked as chief information officer and executive vice president of IT mobile at Samsung Electronics.
He also held CIO positions at the Department of Defense and the U.S. Navy.
Johnson, who brings more than two decades of industry experience, will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of IBM’s federal government sales strategy.
He joined IBM from Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) where he most recently served group vice president of federal cloud sales.
