HII Secures DOD’s $244M Minotaur Software Integration Contract; Andy Green Quoted

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Mission Technologies, an HII (NYSE: HII) division, a five-year, $244 million task order to install Minotaur software products in U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard systems.

The contract covers research, development, test and evaluation services for the integration of Minotaur on maritime platforms used in radars, sensors, as well as command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, HII said Tuesday.

The Minotaur development program was awarded to industry by the Department of Defense in 2020, with HII as the sole primary contractor. It enables a centralized system for data transmitted through sensor and C5ISR technologies.

The new task order is managed by the 774th Air Force Enterprise Sourcing Squadron under the DOD Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract vehicle. Work will be performed at different Mission Technologies facilities across the country.

“HII has been at the forefront of Minotaur software development for nearly a decade,” said Andy Green, executive vice president of HII and president of Mission Technologies. “It’s a privilege to continue this mission-critical work and to concurrently deliver the advantage to three branches of the Armed Forces,” added Green, a recipient of the Wash100 Award.
