HII‘s (NYSE: HII) mission technologies division will help the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity develop live, virtual and constructive training software under a potential five-year, $134 million task order.
The award covers software engineering, development, integration and test support for the service branch’s training systems, including the battle force tactical training system and the combined integrated air and missile defense and anti-submarine warfare trainer platforms, HII said Thursday.
Glenn Goodman, president of HII Mission Technologies’ LVC solutions business group, said realistic training scenarios have been the foundation of the company’s LVC training systems for more than 20 years.
The task order has a one-year base performance period with four option years and was awarded under the SeaPort Next Generation contract vehicle.
