HawkEye 360 has received a potential five-year, $10 million contract to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in the detection, characterization and mapping of radio frequency emissions across large geographic areas.
The company said Monday it will use its satellite constellation to collect RF energy data for use in analytics missions of agency personnel and combatant commands that want to gain insight into illict non-state and transnational activity.
“This program is an excellent example of agile acquisition rapidly delivering high-impact GEOINT to the warfighter,” said Alex Fox, executive vice president for business development, sales and marketing at HawkEye 360.
Fox noted that the company previously helped NGA conduct a commercial integration study as part of a contract from the National Reconnaissance Office.
The new award comes as HawkEye 360 is looking to launch and operate 30 RF monitoring satellites through 2025.
