The General Services Administration will release another corrective action on the $7.6B Defense Enterprise Office Solutions contract, the Washington Business Journal reported Wednesday.
The Government Accountability Office on Monday moved to dismiss a bid protest filed by Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) on April 27 citing GSA’s decision to issue a corrective action on DEOS.
"The protest was dismissed because the dispute was rendered moot by the GSA’s decision that it would take corrective action," Ralph White, managing associate general counsel for procurement law at GAO, said in an email to the publication. “In this case, GSA has advised it will amend the solicitation, ask for revised proposals, take other steps to address the issues in that case. Hence any dispute about the previous actions is overtaken by these events.”
"Perspecta is appreciative of the decision made by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) with regard to our protest of the DEOS solicitation and we look forward to cooperating with the General Services Administration (GSA) in the next steps of the competitive process," a spokesperson for the company said in a statement.
The Department of Defense and GSA initially awarded the DEOS contract to General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business in August. DEOS seeks to provide DoD with cloud-based collaboration, messaging, productivity, content management and other back office capabilities.
