General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) won a potential eight-year, $217M task order to provide technical operations support for a U.S. Air Force network weapon system that is used to collect, process, analyze and disseminate intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data.
The company’s information technology business will help the Air Force’s 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing manage IT assets from the Distributed Common Ground System network, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The service received five offers for the task order and will budget $11.6M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Work will occur at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia and is expected to conclude by Jan. 31, 2027.
