General Dynamics' (NYSE: GD) mission systems business has landed a potential eight-year, $883M contract to modernize a package of live, virtual and constructive training software products for the U.S. Army.
The GDMS unit will update and maintain the framework, architecture and individual platforms related to the Live Training Transformation product line, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Army Contracting Command received one bid for the order-dependent contract via an online solicitation and will provide funding and work location details with each order.
The service branch uses LT2 live training systems at more than 150 range facilities to train soldiers in live force-on-target and force-on-force missions.
DoD expects the company to finish contract work by Jan. 31, 2028.
