A General Electric (NYSE: GE) subsidiary has received a five-year, $149.7 million order to deliver military helicopter engine supplies to the U.S. Army.
The Defense Logistics Agency ordered the T700 items from GE Aviation under a sole-source basic ordering agreement., the Department of Defense said Friday.
The delivery order does not include option periods and will use Army working capital funds for fiscal year 2022 through fiscal 2026.
GE Aviation will perform the services at a company facility in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is scheduled to conclude the performance of work on Sept. 30, 2026.
The T700 is a turboshaft engine that powers the Army’s H-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
