General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business has secured a potential five-year, $383 million contract to help the U.S. Navy’s Surface Combat Systems Training Command facilitate classroom learning and instructional simulation for approximately 100,000 sailors.
GDIT will develop a curriculum and aids that can assist trainees at shore facilities and aboard naval warships worldwide, the company said Thursday.
Brian Sheridan, senior vice president for defense at GDIT, said the company has provided training support to the Navy for more than 30 years.
The contract has a one-year base period, plus four-year options, and will include program management and instructor support services.
