What Capabilities Does NSS Bring?

NSS develops advanced defense electronics specializing in high-reliability communications, radar and radio frequency, or RF, systems. Its portfolio includes high-power RF amplifiers, transmitters, antennas and electronically scanned arrays that support ISR missions.

The company supports the U.S. Air Force, Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command and the Office of Naval Research on various platforms, including the E‑2D Hawkeye, E‑3 Sentry, E/A‑18 Growler and Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System, or MIDS JTRS.

How Will the NSS Acquisition Impact GALT?

The transaction marks GALT’s first add-on acquisition since Godspeed Capital acquired the San Diego-based defense technology platform in March. By adding NSS, GALT expands its defense technology portfolio, helping reinforce its position as a product-driven defense company.

GALT Aerospace CEO John Kohut said NSS’s deep expertise in communications, radar, and RF systems makes it an ideal partner as the company continues to scale its capabilities. NSS CEO Robert LaBelle said the partnership will leverage GALT’s technical expertise and defense-sector relationships to accelerate innovation and support mission-critical customer requirements.

The acquisition also advances Godspeed’s strategy, which established GALT as a defense technology platform focused on expanding multi-domain command-and-control capabilities to meet evolving Joint All-Domain Command and Control requirements.
