Robert Laurine
QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS) has appointed Robert Laurine, former chief information officer of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, to the company’s federal advisory board.
He joins the six-member federal advisory board that will provide insights to the QTS leadership team in efforts to establish a hybrid data center road map for government clients, QTS said Tuesday.
David McOmber, executive vice president of QTS’ public sector and federal business, said Laurine brings federal leadership and background as the company aims to expand its hybrid data center offerings in the sector.
As NGA CIO, Laurine managed GEOINT information technology, standards and enterprise architecture for the agency and its National System for Geospatial Intelligence.
He currently serves as the vice chancellor and CIO at the University System of Georgia, where he oversees technology systems of 26 public colleges and universities across the state.
His government service awards include the National Intelligence Superior Service Medal, Presidential Distinguished Executive Award, Presidential Meritorious Executive Award and National Intelligence Award for Information Sharing.
