Mathew Newfield, former director of the global managed security services business at IBM (NYSE: IBM), has joined Unisys (NYSE: UIS) as chief information security officer.
He will lead a corporate team that aims to design, develop and implement an information security and risk program across Unisys’ regions and businesses, which include its enterprise solutions and federal units, the company said Monday.
Newfield previously served as business information security officer within IBM’s security organization, where he supervised nearly 1,500 professionals who serve customers worldwide.
Before that, he held leadership positions at DDC Advocacy, RSA and Cybertrust.
He published books about security, worked at the SANS Institute as an instructor and gave presentations on cyber matters.
