Anne Altman, former general manager of U.S. federal and government industries at IBM (NYSE: IBM), and Google (Nasdaq: GOOGL) Product Management Vice President Gayathri Rajan have been appointed to the board of directors at government services contractor Maximus (NYSE: MMS).
Reston, Va.-based Maximus said Monday Altman and Rajan will take the seats scheduled to be vacated on Jan. 1, 2017 by the retiring Marilyn Seymann, current Caring Capital CEO; and James Thompson, former Winston & Strawn senior chairman.
Altman retired from IBM in January after a long career that included leadership over Big Blue’s federal business and a prior role as general manager for the global public sector.
She led IBM’s efforts to transform into a provider of security, analytics, cognitive, digital, commerce and cloud computing services to government agencies.
Altman currently participates in public sector industry groups such as the American Council for Technology, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Industry Advisory Council, Northern Virginia Technology Council and Professional Services Council.
Rajan currently oversees Google’s efforts to monetize its Google Maps platform and previously led initiatives for the search giant’s Internet of Things, Google Offers and Payments products.
