Former Air Force Exec James Mehta Appointed Caliburn Chief Security Officer

James Mehta, formerly director of strategic programs and requirements at the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, has taken the role of chief security officer at Caliburn International.

He has gained federal law enforcement work experience over 27 years and will oversee Caliburn’s global security programs and strategies in his new position, the company said.

In his previous capacity, Mehta focused on evaluation, policy development and training programs for AFOSI’s counterintelligence, anti-crime and specialized investigative efforts.

He also commanded AFOSI’s Region 6 team at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and developed security policies for the Department of Defense during his tenure as chief of the Joint Staff’s anti-terrorism and force protection branch.

The former Air Force colonel also held leadership roles at the 4th Field Investigations Squadron and the AF Special Investigations Directorate.
