Elbit Systems(Nasdaq: ESLT) has received a two-year, $240 million contract from an unnamed African country to provide directed infrared countermeasure systems that work to defend aircraft against shoulder-fired missiles.
The company said Tuesday it will also supply the customer with missile warning, radio, communications and small unmanned aerial systems under the contract.
Contract work will also include helicopter upgrades.
Elbit Systems will also provide head-up displays, cockpit, radars, head-mounted systems. weapon delivery and navigation systems for an Asia-Pacific country’s F-5 modernization program under a $93 million contract announced in late August.
