Dynetics has secured a potential five-year, $93M contract to help the U.S. Air Force update a range of equipment and systems used to simulate weapons.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will include efforts to modernize a radio frequency technology for the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility and a hardware-in-the-loop simulator for the Kinetic Kill Vehicle system, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DoD added that Dynetics will also develop a joint combat identification platform, integrate calibration sets, support a phased technology digital command link for air defense artillery and provide technologies that are needed immediately at department-operated ranges.
The service branch awarded an initial $30.9M order under the sole-source IDIQ for the company to design a new GWEF RF technology and is obligating $2.5M in incremental funds at the time of award.
Work will take place in Huntsville, Ala., and at various DoD sites through January 2025.
