Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential 10-year, $364.7 million contract from the Energy Department to provide research support services for DOEs National Energy Technology Laboratory.
DOE announced the contract award to Leidos through a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday.
A solicitation published in August 2017 says the cost-plus-award-fee contract covers research services across NETL sites in Albany, Ore.; Morgantown, W.Va.; and Pittsburgh, and has a three-year base term, two two-year options and one three-year option.
The contract is divided into logistical and product support contract line item number and research support CLIN, according to the performance work statement.
The logistical and product support CLIN covers product and financial management; business development and partnership; and general logistical support.
The research support CLIN has competency management and research execution functional areas and covers several technical core competencies such as geological and environmental sciences, materials engineering and manufacturing and systems engineering and analysis.
NETL works to ensure the countrys energy security through environmental and energy research and development initiatives across several areas such as natural gas, coal and oil technologies; energy systems analysis; contract and project management; and international energy issues.
