The Department of Defense has awarded Federal Resources Supply Company a potential $134M contract to deliver personal protective equipment kits at more than 15K nursing homes nationwide.
Lt. Col. Mike Andrews, a DoD spokesman, said in a statement released Wednesday the company began to ship masks, gloves, gowns and protective eyewear to skilled nursing facilities in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey.
Federal Resources will continue PPE deliveries at Federal Emergency Management Agency-designated priority locations across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam through June.

Andrews noted the contract calls for the delivery of 64.4M pairs of gloves, 12.8M gowns, 13.8M masks and 1.2M goggles, and has so far invested nearly $2.3B in tools, supplies and services.
