The Defense Information Services Agency has pushed back the planned release of the final solicitation for the Defense Enclave Services information technology contract from late September to mid-late first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
DISA announced the move in a notice published Thursday on beta SAM website.
The agency issued in early September a draft request for proposals for the potential 10-year, single-award DES indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The DES contract, which could have a ceiling value of approximately $11.7B, seeks to consolidate IT systems staff, functions, program elements and other IT services at the Department of Defense’s “fourth-estate” agencies under a single service provider to help reduce costs and improve cybersecurity posture.
