Sigma Defense CEO John Wilcox said in a statement published Monday Dunie brings to the company over 30 years of experience serving in the Department of Defense and industry.
“Deb’s expertise in analyzing state-of-the-art technologies and her experience with integrating, building, and maturing rapidly growing platforms will be a very significant asset as we execute our go-forward plan,” said Sigma President Matt Jones.
Dunie currently sits on the boards of Peraton and Axient.
She spent eight years at CACI as CTO. Prior to that, she served within DOD as director of plans and analysis within the office of the deputy undersecretary for counterintelligence and security and was director of business transformation office at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. She held senior leadership positions at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), Raytheon and Martin Marietta, which now operates as Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), and started her career at ITT as an engineer.
Sigma has been delivering system integration, engineering, logistics and program management support to the Department of Defense and other national intelligence agencies since 2006. The company, which provides intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and sensors for use in ground, air and space domains, received an investment from New York-based private equity firm Sagewind Capital in January.
