Crowley‘s government services business will continue to coordinate surface freight shipping operations for Department of Defense activities within the North American region after U.S. Transportation Command awarded the company a $480 million economic adjustment under an existing contract.
The adjustment is part of the Defense Freight Transportation Services contract and is scheduled to run through July 31, 2024, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DOD will obligate funds for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 to pay for the service extension.
Jacksonville, Florida-based Crowley provides DOD transportation and related services throughout the U.S. and Canada under a $2.3 billion award the company won in November 2016.
