Criterion Systems has secured an $85 million task order under the General Services Administration‘s Alliant Small Business contract vehicle to provide information technology support staff to the Agriculture Department‘s National Information Technology Center.
The company said Tuesday it will supply 75 full-time personnel to help NITC as it operates USDA’s enterprise data centers in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri, and in Beltsville, Maryland.
“This is an exciting opportunity to monitor rapidly advancing IT technologies to create and deploy new product offerings which can be marketed across the entire federal IT infrastructure marketplace, in competition with commercially owned IT infrastructure services,” said Promod Sharma, president and CEO of Criterion Systems.
The cyber operations-focused small business added it has previously provided support to USDA, including the implementation of the department’s risk management framework and application development for the Food and Nutrition Service and the U.S. Forest Service‘s fire and aviation management unit.
