Doherty announced his new post Monday on LinkedIn and will be responsible for Collins Aerospace’s battlespace management command and control and autonomy platforms.
His move comes after Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) reorganized into three business segments under the RTX name.
Previously, the nearly 19-year company veteran oversaw future assured systems and technology within the RI&S unit as VP and helped spearhead the Advanced Concepts & Technology unit as deputy VP.
He was director of Raytheon’s airborne early warning and reconnaissance systems product line for more than three years. Earlier in his career, Doherty held engineering and program management-related duties.
