United Technologies Corp.‘s (NYSE: UTX) Collins Aerospace business has secured a $40.2M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to sustain training devices for the U.S. Air Force’s E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft.
Collins Aerospace will help operate the JSTARS training system support center and provide logistics services as part of the potential 10-year contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work will take place in Sterling, Va., and at Robins AF Base in Georgia through Aug. 3, 2029.
The service branch will obligate $3.5M on the first delivery order using fiscal 2019 Air National Guard operations and maintenance funds.
E-8 is an airborne battle management platform manufactured by Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and designed to help aircrew members track adversarial ground targets.
