Collins Aerospace Awarded $317M to Build More Radios for US, Int'l Clients

Collins Aerospace will supply AN/ARC-210(v) radio communications systems to domestic and foreign military sales customers under a three-year, $316.7M contract modification from the U.S. Navy.

The Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary will provide 11,313 radios to be installed in more than 400 ground, airborne and maritime platforms, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Work under the modification is slated to occur through September 2023 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 2018, the Navy awarded Collins Aerospace – then Rockwell Collins — a five-year, $82.6M contract to manufacture ARC-210 RT-2036(C) airborne radios designed to integrate with the Mobile User Objective System.

The AN/ARC-210 system features embedded cryptographic unit and transmit data at a rate of up to 80 kilobytes per second through a 25-kilohertz channel.
