Clement Chen
Clement Chen, formerly chief strategy officer of the health group at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has taken a new role as vice president for its health and human services unit, the company announced on Wednesday.
He was responsible for the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and business development functions in his previous capacity.
Over his career, Chen has served in business and corporate development, finance, business operations and strategic planning positions with Leidos, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Software AG and IBM (NYSE: IBM). He has addressed a range of markets including healthcare, energy, logistics, national security and others with a focus on data analytics, cybersecurity, systems integration and more.
In addition, Chen is a member of the board of directors at the Greater Washington Board of Trade as well as serves on the advisory board of the George Mason University School of Business and its Center for Government Contracting.
He is a former naval officer with a specialty in surface warfare and operations analysis. Hes also been an operational test director for naval engineering and combat systems. He graduated with honors from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in applied science and earned an MBA from the College of William and Mary as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society.
