The U.S. Army Reserve veteran will lead a business that engages with federal and state government entities in his new position, Mercury said Thursday.
Hutton previously oversaw government affairs for Volansi in a VP role and legislative affairs for Sierra Nevada Corp. Before entering industry, he served on senior national security staff positions at the Senate Appropriations and Armed Services committees.
“America’s continued leadership in innovation and a return to preeminence in high tech manufacturing require a broad and capable industrial base,” Hutton said.
“Mercury plays a critical role here, and I look forward to sharing that story with public sector audiences.”
