CGI (NYSE: GIB) has won a spot on a five-year, $127M blanket purchase agreement to update software applications for a government corporation under the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The BPA, which has one base year plus four one-year options, covers work to help the HUDs Government National Mortgage Association, or Ginnie Mae, modernize a suite of apps used to process loan applications, CGI said Tuesday.
The company noted it will apply continuous integration/continuous delivery, Agile and DevSecOps approaches to assist the group in software development projects.
Tim Hurlebaus, president of CGI Federal and two-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the award builds on the companys experience in supporting banking operations and expands its footprint in government housing initiatives.
Ginnie Mae manages over $2T in assets and aims to implement a comprehensive technology platform equipped with technological and functional tools.
